Caritas has launched its "Zero Poverty Act Now" campaign. This campaign, among other things, is designed to collect a million signatures on a petition that will, under the new Lisbon Treaty, make it possible to formulate a citizen's initiative inviting the Commission to submit appropriate legislative proposals to the European Parliament. While there, you might want to take some time to look at a few other suggested actions you can take to help make poverty history.
